Welcome Level 1

Welcome level 1...but we are still being careful when we come in every playtime as we are still washing our hands and sanitizing. We are careful with our paper towels and ALWAYS put them in the bin.  We are very thankful that there is no Covid 19 in New Zealand anymore.

Room 2 @ SPS 2020 - Blue vanilla tigers who want to be 7!

Here we all are outside of our classroom on the playground - we are very excited about our learning this year at Saint Patricks School.

We thought that you would like to know some interesting pieces of information about us... our favourite colours are red, pink, green, black but our favourite is BLUE.

We like strawberry, chocolate and lime ice-cream, but our favourite is VANILLA.

Some of the animals we like in room 2 are bears, pigs, butterflies, dinosaurs, lions, dogs, unicorns and cheetahs but our favourite animal is a TIGER.

When we grow up we want to be a basketball player, a princess, a builder, a Dad, a flower maker and a policeman - but most of us just want to be 7!

Meditation

In Room 2 we are good at doing meditation. Meditation helps us to focus on our learning. It helps us to listen.

Our Autumn Tree

Learning Intention: We are learning to use describing words in our writing.

We brainstormed together some interesting words that we could use to describe our autumn tree.

                                fluttering          softly
gliding        crimson-red         goldend orange

                       AUTUMN TREE
glowing              floating       falling

twirling          slowly              colourful                   pretty                Red        Yellow   Fire-yellow

 Autumn Tree  Poem
Pretty, Pretty, Pretty leaves.
Falling from the autumn tree.
Red and yellow, golden orange and brown,
Floating and fluttering softly to the ground.
Glowing glowing tree
Slowly losing colourful leaves.
See the branches brown and bare
Nothing left for them to wear.

Meditation

In Room 2 we are learning how to do meditation. We can do meditation when we sit and stay still, close our eyes, breathe gently and place our hands on our lap.
In meditation we listen to God. Meditation helps us to listen and stayed focused.
