St Patrick's Day

St Patrick, our Patron Saint... 100 prayers per day. From being kidnapped at 16 and taken to Ireland as a slave, to becoming a missionary and bishop who established monasteries, schools and churches throughout Ireland. What an amazing Patron Saint!

Fruit Time on a Tuesday afternoon...

In Room 2 we had fruit after lunch - it is our brain food for the afternoon.

8 of us had apples.
The apples were crispy and crunchy and salty and yummy and juicy and sweet but one was sour. The apples are red but they are green as well. You can eat the skin of an apple. They are crispy because they are hard.

4 of us had bananas.
The bananas are good for our brain, they taste sweet and sticky.  The bananas are yellow but you can not eat the skin.

2 of us had peaches.
The peaches were red and yellow and orange and pink.  They tasted sweet and they were very juicy.  It had a big stone in the middle.  The peaches were soft and furry.

We had 14 pieces of fruit altogether.

Room 2 @ SPS 2020 - Blue vanilla tigers who want to be 7!

Here we all are outside of our classroom on the playground - we are very excited about our learning this year at Saint Patricks School.

We thought that you would like to know some interesting pieces of information about us... our favourite colours are red, pink, green, black but our favourite is BLUE.

We like strawberry, chocolate and lime ice-cream, but our favourite is VANILLA.

Some of the animals we like in room 2 are bears, pigs, butterflies, dinosaurs, lions, dogs, unicorns and cheetahs but our favourite animal is a TIGER.

When we grow up we want to be a basketball player, a princess, a builder, a Dad, a flower maker and a policeman - but most of us just want to be 7!

Earthquake Practice

St Patrick's School joined in the nationwide earthquake practice STOP, DROP, COVER and HOLD. We did it in Room 2.

In Room 2 we are good at doing meditation. Meditation helps us to focus on our learning. It helps us to listen.
